Holy Moly

Holy moly, little _______ could be born anytime now! As of this past Saturday, he was considered full-term (37 weeks), so over the weekend we had a conversation with him (it was really a one-sided conversation) to let him know he was welcome to come out now. Even if he doesn't come early, the due date is only 18 days from today! Although Miri has been such a great home for him for the last 9+ months, we hope he is as excited to meet us as we are excited to meet him! As excited as we are, every once in awhile it hits us that anytime now, we are going to be parents, and it probably won't really sink in until it actually happens.

Over the last couple of weeks we have completed our childbirth classes, taken a breastfeeding class, had our carseats installed, purchased anything we would need to have as soon as our new roommate moves in, attended a very nice shower thrown by my office, and gone mohel shopping (they have quite a nice rackett going on. $600-$750 for a 15 minute service! Where do I get my mohel training?). It's been a very busy couple of weeks, so to our pleading followers (Uncle Tim, Mom-Mom, and Grandma), we apologize for slacking on the blogging!

PS: On a side note, if anyone in the area has extra freezer space, we'd like to reserve it for 18 years after the baby's born, as it sounds like grandma has been tirelessly cooking/baking enough food so that our son has food to bring with him when he goes away to college. Thanks grandma!=)

  1. Thanks for the update....finally. We are all anxiously awaiting his arrival. We'll see how well he listens to his parents.

Yes, from what I understand, Eve has been doing ALOT of cooking. They might need to rent a U-Haul to bring it all down. :)))

    Mom-Mom to be

  3. I don't want to hear any whimpers when the goodies run out.....actually, my plan is for you to save the meals to eat after I have returned to NY. While I am there, we will do exclusively delicious take out three meals a day while I am luxuriating on the divan.
How did Mom-Mom know that my secret matzo ball ingredient is camphor????
